Bryce James has been slowly creating a buzz for himself in recent months for his emergence in high school basketball. The 15-year-old has seemingly had an incredible growth spurt over the last couple of months as he has passed his elder brother in height and looks to continue growing.

Bryce was playing in the Las Vegas Big Time finale for his ‘Strive For Greatness’ team against the ‘Vegas Elite’, led by highly touted guard John Mobley. The game was broadcast on ESPN, where they listed Bryce as a 6’6″ forward, a very shocking development to many people unaware of Bryce’s growth spurt.

With his height being the conversation for many with pictures on social media, a confirmation of his new height caused many people to panic about LBJ’s younger son also being destined for a basketball career. Fans on Twitter had some hilarious responses to Bryce reaching this height at age 15.

Athletic ability or not, Bryce did show some clutch shooting in this game. He gave his team the win after being fouled on the 3-point line close to the buzzer. Bryce made every single free throw and his team ended up winning by 1 point.

The earliest Bryce can enter the NBA is in 2027 as a 20-year-old. It is safe to assume that LeBron may be retired by then. LBJ will be 42 years old and would be entering his 25th season in the league if he played the 2027-28 NBA season. Nobody has ever played that long and it would be incredible for LeBron to still play then.

Bryce is developing a solid game, but still doesn’t have the same athletic gifts as his elder brother or father. He doesn’t have the explosive jump, but he has a steady shot, good court awareness, and could seemingly grow to be a very tall player. His high school season is going to get a lot more eyes this year.
