The Dallas Mavericks have one of the brightest talents in the league on their roster right now in Luka Doncic. Doncic is already pushing all-time legends like Michael Jordan in terms of his playoff scoring average, but he has a lot more to learn and achieve in the league.
The Mavericks made a sensational run to the Western Conference Finals led by Doncic, which included their upset win over the Phoenix Suns. Luka has proven that he is one of the best players in the league, and Dallas native Myles Turner agrees.
Turner currently plays for the Indiana Pacers, but it is rumored that the team wants to trade him. He was recently hosting a basketball camp for kids in Dallas, where he sat down with Sports Illustrated to discuss various things. One of the biggest highlights of his sit-down was the praise he gave to Doncic for his achievements at a young age.

“Oh, he’s definitely up there,” said Turner. “The way he sees the game, the way he’s able to get everyone involved, the swag he plays with — he embodies — is rare. Especially as young as he is. He came into this league really killing it from the jump.”
“I think he’s going to continue to work on his body and work on the little facets of his game. As far as straight talent, he already has all that down. So hopefully he’s in Dallas for years to come. But it’s interesting to see how he’s able to garner so much success so fast.” (h/t Dallas Basketball Fan Nation)
Turner would be a nice fit on the Mavericks, but the team has already added big-men in JaVale McGee and Christian Wood this offseason. They are yet to replace Jalen Brunson, who left for the New York Knicks. With Doncic’s incredible talent on the ball, the Mavs may just choose to run everything through Doncic if they can.
Fans will be hoping the Mavs don’t take a step back this season with their roster changes, but as long as they have someone of the caliber of Luka Doncic, they will guarantee themselves a playoff spot.
