Ja Morant has become an easy target on Twitter right now after a suspension for showing a gun in a club after a loss to the Nuggets.

A fan tweeted about how Damian Lillard actually came from the life Morant glamorizes, but Dame left it behind after he found success. Popular satire page ButtCrack Sports made a fake screenshot showing Lillard liking that tweet, something Dame was not happy about.

Fake quotes have been a problem on NBA Twitter for a while now. Most fans are in on the joke and understand it’s a fake quote, but these examples go to show how people will believe most of everything they see on Twitter without verifying it for themselves.

No Timeline On Ja Morant’s Return From Suspension

Memphis Grizzlies head coach made a revealing comment about Ja Morant returning to the Grizzlies before the team’s game against the LA Clippers. Jenkins said that there is no timetable for Morant’s return, with the team prioritizing Morant’s rehabilitation before anything else.

The Grizzlies’ reputation as a tough and gritty team will take a hit after such a PR disaster for the franchise. Morant can be tough on the court, but associating with certain people and trying to live a certain lifestyle off the court can end up hurting his career forever.

Unless the NBA adds more games to Morant’s current 2-game suspension, Memphis will hope to include their franchise player in the lead-up to the postseason to ensure their chances of success in the playoffs. His talent on the court is undeniable, and everyone should be hoping he can stay out of trouble after this incident.
