The New York Knicks pulled off an incredible 131-129 win in the TD Garden against the Boston Celtics.

Even with Jalen Brunson not playing, the Knicks saw massive contributions from players like Julius Randle, Immanuel Qukcley, and RJ Barrett. Fans were overjoyed to see New York picked up their 9th consecutive win.

Knicks superfan Rob Perez was overjoyed with Quickley’s late-game heroics, “Immanuel Quickley has played 52 minutes has scored all the Knicks points in double overtime, and is skipping around the court like this is just a delight of an evening.”

Magic Johnson worried that the Celtics may have seen a possible playoff preview tonight, “The NY Knicks are a bad matchup for the Boston Celtics so Boston better hope they don’t see them in the Playoffs!”

A Knicks fan said that the team already had 3 stars and didn’t need to succumb to media pressure about having to make a big trade to acquire one, “Tired: The Knicks need to acquire a star Wired: The Knicks already have f***ing three.”

One fan criticized Jayson Tatum for not being able to close out in the clutch against New York, “Tatum not a superstar man you can’t put up tour dates in half your games and still have that reputation.”

Immanuel Quickley led the Knicks in scoring with a career-high 38 points, followed by Randle with 31. RJ Barrett had 29 in a game where the top-end Knicks talent took over the game in the clutch.

Jayson Tatum had 40 points on inefficient shooting and missed a few clutch buckets to put the Knicks away. Jaylen Brown had 29 and Al Horford had 30 in this thrilling encounter.

Are The Knicks Actual Contenders?

The form the Knicks have had since they made the trade for Josh Hart is scary. They won against Boston without their point guard, Jalen Brunson, who’s one of the most efficient guard scorers in the NBA and one of the league leaders in clutch scoring.

Tom Thibodeau has finally found his preferred rotations after coming under fire earlier in the season for ostracizing players like Derrick Rose, Cam Reddish, and Evan Fournier from the rotation. The minutes to develop Quickley and Quentin Grimes have already shown their results.

The Knicks are likely going to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 4-5 matchup in the playoffs right now. That could be a more challenging series than people would have thought earlier in the season, as the Knicks are proving they can compete with the best in the NBA.
