Damian Lillard is one of the best superstars in the NBA, but he simply hasn’t had the support on the roster to make it far into the playoffs. Despite that, he has remained loyal to the Portland Trail Blazers organization, and his entire career has been spent in Portland.

A recent report had suggested that Damian Lillard will request a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers in the coming days. Damian Lillard has rebuked that report in his latest press conference, but also stated that there is no “firm decision” on his future. Lillard also stated that he “expects to be” playing for the Portland Trail Blazers next season. It also seems that Damian Lillard also wishes for some moves to be made, as he believes the Trail Blazers aren’t a championship contender even with the hiring of new coach Chauncey Billups.

Damian Lillard says it's not true that he will ask for a trade from the Blazers, and he has "not made any firm decision on what his future will be."

Dame says he "expects to be" in a Blazers uniform next season.

"If you look at our team as it is, I don't think you can say this is a championship team with a new coach," Dame said.

"This year there is more urgency behind it. Of course, I feel like there are guys out there that can help," Dame said of the Blazers.

It remains to be seen what Damian Lillard will decide to do in the future. There is no doubt that Lillard wants a contending team, and perhaps the Portland Trail Blazers will be able to make some moves to put a bonafide star next to him. Damian Lillard is widely viewed as a top 10 player in the league, and hopefully, the Blazers surround him with a roster that makes them a contender.
