‘It’s So Hard To Get Mad At Drummond Because His Face Always Looks Like He’s More Disappointed In Himself Than I Am In Him’, Says Halsey

2 Min Read

Just like Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond was heavily criticized by Lakers and NBA fans on Sunday. The 17-time NBA champions lost the first game of their playoffs series against the Phoenix Suns, leaving a poor image on the court.

You can say AD was the lowest point of the team but Drummond also ‘worked’ hard to get many bad words. Singer/songwriter and Lakers superfan Halsey was one of those calling out Drummond. However, she said she couldn’t be mad at the big man since his face made him look like he felt worse with his game than the people watching him play.

“it’s so hard to get mad at Drummond bc his face always looks like he’s more disappointed in himself than I am in him,” she tweeted during the Lakers-Suns game.

Of course, this sparked a lot of reactions, with fans agreeing with her, blaming Frank Vogel, Anthony Davis and proposing solutions to the bad game the team was having.

Contrary to what happened in the play-in tournament with the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers couldn’t turn things around in front of the Suns. Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton did the job and Monty Williams’ team earned a big W to start the playoffs on a high note.

The Lakers need to make some adjustments, and several people believe one of those will include Drummond. They are on the quest to defend the NBA championship, but every player needs to be on the same page. Otherwise, things will get a lot harder.
