Fans Roast Devin Booker For Not Being Voted As A Top-10 Guard In The West: “He Has No Motion”

Devin Booker and the entire Suns' fanbase are being mocked after All-Star voting was revealed and Booker didn't make the top 10.

Devin Booker is inarguably one of the best guards in the NBA. He is not in the same tier as players like Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but he could be better than all other guards in the West. Unfortunately for him, fans do not agree with that, as Booker didn’t even get voted into the top 10 of guards in the Western Conference for the All-Star game.

Fans are finding this hilarious and mocking Booker endlessly.

One fan explained why Booker should have mainstream popularity for All-Star votes but he’s still failing.

For a guy who’s made the finals, dropped 70 points in a game, is in a drake song, and dated Kendall Jenner… Devin Booker has NO MOTION 💀💀 https://t.co/5MmHYQc0cB

Suns fans are realizing how disliked Booker is by a majority of the fanbases outside of Phoenix.

There is one thing I've learned by visiting opposing team's Sub-Reddit's game threads for the past four years:

Outside of Phoenix, no one likes Booker. And they don't know why. They never can put a finger on it. His face. His Kobe-eqsue game but not being Kobe. They don't know. https://t.co/EP4tDQGXPu

Users all over social media came after Booker and the weak support from Suns fans that caused him to slip behind Ja Morant and Austin Reaves in voting.

More fasn are realizing that Booker isn’t as popular as many would assume.

Nobody fucks with Booker I'm dead dawg https://t.co/55fPGky6Og

The lack of accolades in Booker’s career is stark and non-Suns fans realize he needs to achieve more in the NBA if he wants to solidify his legacy.

i know suns fans prioritizing a chip over everything for book (which is obv the right approach) but accolades like all star matter lol. unless he running off like 4+ chips, that shit is gonna look funny in legacy talks. not his fault but yall can’t act like it doesn’t matter

Fans were shocked to see that Booker’s former teammate Mikal Bridges made an appearance on the list when Book didn’t, showing the weak support the Suns fans show.

Look none of it matters but Mikal having more votes than Booker makes the Suns fanbase look nonexistent lmfao https://t.co/IGlGA9WQ0o

Booker is averaging 26.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 7.8 assists this season.

He isn’t playing at the level where he can say he’s an All-Star starter in the West, with Luka, Shai, or Steph likely taking the two guard spots. But to not even be in the conversation amongst fans is a damning indictment of how Booker is viewed. He’s a sensational player and deserves to be an All-Star, likely being named as a reserve.

He’s been named to three All-Star teams. Unfortunately, two of those appearances came as an injury replacement (Damian Lillard in 2020 and Anthony Davis in 2021), with his only legitimate All-Star nod coming in 2022. He missed the All-Star team last season due to early-season injuries.

The Phoenix Suns Are Not Happy About This

The Suns will likely have one All-Star in this year’s game with Kevin Durant, but Booker is a deserving candidate as well. Fans disregarding his season to this extent will likely prompt players and coaches around the NBA to vote him in while voting for reserves.

Suns head coach Frank Vogel was not happy about Booker not being named on this list, calling the first voting list ‘shocking’.

“It’s shocking. A lot of the time it’s because of bigger markets.”

“Shocking.”

Booker has an uphill climb if he wants to make it into the All-Star game. One of Luka, Shai, or Curry can be considered a lock for a reserve spot. After that, Booker is fighting off competition from Anthony Edwards and De’Aaron Fox for the other reserve spots. With Edwards leading the best team in the West and Fox having another incredible statistical season on a team that’s better than Booker’s, we could see him miss out.

We’ve seen players like Zach LaVine go off before All-Star voting closes to solidify a spot in the game, and Booker may have to do something similar if he wants to be an All-Star in the Western Conference.
