First Paul George Cheated On Doc Rivers’ Daughter, Then He Helped Get Him Fired By Shooting 4-16 In Game 7

Paul George may not be that welcome in the Rivers’ household. In fact, he’s done nothing but bringing trouble to Doc Rivers’ table over the past couple of years.

As you may know by now, the then-Indiana Pacers forward used to date Doc’s daughter Callie Rivers. It was all going well until she found out that his All-Star boyfriend had been cheating on her for a while with a stripper from Miami.

In fact, Callie, who later married Dallas Mavericks’ guard Seth Curry, was the reason behind Curry’s “B*tch *ss” comments after hitting an and-1 over George in the playoffs:

That cheating scandal must have made things pretty awkward when the Clippers traded for PG-13. He had to play for his former father-in-law after cheating on her daughter. Still, Doc managed it like a professional and an adult and it never seemed to be a problem.

Fast-forward to the NBA playoffs and ‘Playoff P’ showed up. George couldn’t buy a bucket and piled up foul after foul in the first round, and even though he had a couple of nice games, he left a lot to be desired in the second round vs. the Denver Nuggets.

The Clippers were up 3-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals but Paul George was nowhere to be found on the final three games of the series, even going 4/16 in Game 7 and not scoring a single point in the fourth quarter vs. the Nuggets.

Doc Rivers ended up losing his job after blowing that 3-1 lead and even though some fans and even some of his teammates called Paul George out for his subpar performances in the playoffs, he wasn’t the one who lost his job because of it. I guess George truly is the ‘Doc Killer’.
