LeBron James’ longevity in the league is astonishing at best, and the 37-year-old’s consistency in year 20 saw some massive praise coming from former NBA star Chandler Parsons.

James turns 38 on December 30th this year but has still been one of the league’s bona fide superstars racking up the numbers and is well on his way to surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the leading points scorer.

Speaking on FanDuel TV’s ‘Run It Back,’ Parsons believes that James has what it takes to play till 45.

“This guy’s a physical specimen. Like you just said, he spends the time and the money on his body, in his craft. And we all know he wants to play with his son. We don’t even know if he’s going to make it to the NBA but I think LeBron’s going to do everything possible to stay in shape.”

“He’s got the physicality. He’s got the IQ. I could see him just turning into a 5 or a point guard and playing till 45 and I would not be surprised at all.”

This was seconded by Eddie Gonzales, who felt the forward would be a “grisly, old vet” and could extend his time by another six years.

Dennis Schroder Says LeBron James Plans On Playing Till He’s 45

By the looks of it, LeBron James has plans of playing till he’s 45. His teammate Dennis Schroder revealed James’ future plans in a recent interview.

The point guard added that the veteran, who was drafted in 2003 as the No. 1 pick, intended to do a Tom Brady (who’s 45 and is still playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

In an interview that came out today, Dennis Schröder said LeBron told him he wants to play 5-7 more years and retire at 45.

“I asked him how much longer he wants to play and he said he wants to play for five to seven years more. He’s turning 38 now, he says 45.”

James has been vocal about taking the Lakers all the way and winning another title and has been logging roughly 33 minutes every time he takes the hardwood. While he’s missed a few games for LA this season, the work he’s put in off the court to take care of his body shows he’s here to stay.
