Giannis Antetokounmpo Allegedly Hit James Harden With A Cheap Shot

It’s not a secret that Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden aren’t exactly fond of each other. Every time they have the chance to take a shot at the other, they seize it.

Harden got this little beef started by claiming Giannis won the MVP award because of the media’s narrative, suggesting he was more deserving of the award last season.

Ever since, they’ve both exchanged a couple of blows, like Giannis claiming he wouldn’t draft him for his All-Star team because he wanted someone that actually passed the ball.

However, it seems like the Greek Freak may have taken things a bit too far during their clash for the All-Star Game, as NBA Central reported.

Apparently, Giannis took a cheap shot at Harden during a rebound which the referees – or the cameras – didn’t happen to catch.

Antetokounmpo seems to have shoved Harden in the face after being stripped out of the ball by Chris Paul, but there weren’t many complaints about that play in particular.

Should they’ve seen this, Giannis could’ve even been hit with a flagrant one foul, mostly because the history between both stars is well-known around the league.

The All-Star Game was fun, close and entertaining for the first time in years, as players played some tough defense during the fourth quarter to honor the late Kobe Bryant.

However, there’s no place for this kind of thing during an event like the All-Star Game, and shame on Giannis if he indeed intended to hurt Harden on this play. We’ll give him the benefit of the doubt because that’s very unlike him.
