Superstar LeBron James is one of the best players in NBA history, and there’s no questioning his greatness. However, playing with him can be difficult for certain players, as there are consistent expectations to win.

Recently, J. R. Smith opened up on what it’s like to play with LeBron James. He noted that it can be both a gift and a curse, citing that a lot of players didn’t like playing with that much pressure on them.

“It’s a gift and a curse playing with Bron. I love Bron to death and I love playing on his team because, for me, I thrive more under the pressure, but a lot of guys don’t like it”

There is no doubt that playing with a legendary player such as LeBron James comes with the idea that one has to win at all costs. Oftentimes, teammates are held to high standards, and perhaps that’s what it takes to win at the highest level.

A Lot Of Players Like Playing With LeBron James

Though some players may not welcome being teammates with LeBron James, there are a lot of others who have enjoyed playing with him. Previously, Rajon Rondo said that LeBron James is one of his “favorite teammates” that he’s played with, noting that James is an “unselfish person”.

“I love LeBron. He’s one of my favorite teammates I’ve ever played for. He’s a very unselfish person. Can’t really hate him honestly,” Rondo said. “Back in the day when we played against him, that’s the mindset that you have. …It’s a different perspective actually being in the locker room with him and understanding how genuine of a person he is off the court.”

LeBron James is often commended for his unselfish style of play, and he was always viewed as a pass-first player that generally makes the right play on the court. It is easy to see why people like to be on his team, as the superstar genuinely makes an effort to facilitate team basketball and ensure that everyone gets touches.

The Los Angeles Lakers are without LeBron James as of right now, as the star is currently dealing with a foot injury. Hopefully, he comes back sooner rather than later for them, as he is the key to the Lakers being able to make a deep playoff run this year, especially due to his abilities as a floor general.
