The Los Angeles Lakers are officially in the Western Conference Semifinals after destroying the Memphis Grizzlies by 40 points during Friday night’s Game 6. The team was dominant throughout, much to the delight of the enthusiastic home crowd.

The Los Angeles Lakers are the go-to team for many of the biggest celebrities. Hollywood stars, rappers, and athletes, a lot of them who live in Los Angeles love the Lakers. And one of the greatest actors ever, Jack Nicholson, was on hand to witness the team’s dominant win.

Jack Nicholson was back in the building for the first time since 2021 when he attended last season’s opening night game. He is a true fan of the Lakers, and with the team cooking at an elite level against the Grizzlies, was seen to be enjoying himself on his evening out.

The Los Angeles Lakers were quite happy to have him in the building too, Nicholson was honored with a small tribute video on the big screen in the arena. His legendary roles in The Shining and as the Joker in Batman were shown.

And when someone of his stature shows up, it’s only natural that the stars on the team will be appreciative of him. LeBron James went up to Nicholson to dap him up before the game, a lovely gesture.

Everything went right for the Los Angeles Lakers with Jack Nicholson in the building, and hopefully, fans will be able to see more of him at the games. His love for the Lakers is deep, and it shows from some of his basketball opinions.

Jack Nicholson Picked Kareem Abdul-Jabbar As His GOAT

The GOAT debate has now become a two-horse race for most fans between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is often scanted in these conversations, but older Lakers fans are always quick to throw him in the mix. And he is Jack Nicholson’s GOAT, as Matt Damon once revealed

“It’s a Golden Globes party, and we got to a corner talking about basketball. We were talking about who the greatest was. He said that Kareem, throughout his career, unbelievably long, incredible career, that when the ball went through him, so when he touched the ball on offense, not necessarily took the shot obviously, but if he touched the ball on offense, his team scored 75% of the time.”

That is a great take, it’s safe to say that Jack Nicholson knows what he’s talking about. And on a night that he came out to see his Lakers, they certainly didn’t disappoint, putting on a show and punching a ticket to the next round of the playoffs.
