17-year NBA veteran Chris Paul isn’t your average NBA point guard. As a 12x All-Star, 11x All-NBA player, and one of the Top 75 players in basketball history, he brings a lot to the table as a leader and floor general, even at the ripe age of 37.

But does CP3 have other advantages? According to Rockets youngster Jalen Green, the answer is yes. In the aftermath of a blowout win against the Booker-less Suns, Green took it upon himself to throw some shade toward the NBA legend after forcing him into tough situations all night long.

“That’s the ultimate trickster in the league. He be having the refs on his side, he controls the whole game,” Green said

Jalen Green appears proud of forcing a Chris Paul travel tonight:

Chris Paul’s Decline Is Bad News For The Phoenix Suns

Love him or hate him, Chris Paul always found ways to win basketball games and every team he’s been on has been respectable in some sense.

Unfortunately, not even CP3 is immune to Father Time, which has already begun to take its toll on the Suns’ star.

“Think about it. They win 64 games last year, NBA best, they go to the Finals two years ago and now they add this version of Cam Johnson, who’s kind of just scratching the surface and taking off,” said an NBA insider. “The one thing we said with Phoenix was… maybe Devin Booker is what he is, which is an awesome player, but there’s only so much better he can get. Chris Paul is gonna be on the downturn a little bit here, which I think he is. The one area where they can really take a jump is Cam Johnson and he’s doing it. But the other thing this lends to is the Jae Crowder conversation because this is where they got worse let’s be honest. You need every little bit you can get to beat the Bucks, to beat a healthy Clippers team, Golden State, Boston, or whoever you’re going to face in the postseason.”

Only Chris Paul can speak with any certainty on his intentions with the refs, but he’s not in the business of giving away his secrets.

This season, in what has been an up-and-down campaign, Phoenix is just 16-12 with a whole lot of questions about their future. While Paul may not be a part of their long-term future, he’s here to help them win now, and he’s going to do whatever it takes to complete that task.
