Jay Williams Criticizes LeBron James For Saying He’d Never Be Back At 100%: “I’ve Never Heard Jordan Say Something Like That… MJ Just Wouldn’t Say Anything At All.”

Jay Williams wasn’t pleased with LeBron James claiming he wouldn’t be back at 100% in his career after suffering a high ankle sprain at the end of March. The King attempted to make a comeback to the court last week but he hurt his ankle again and now is indefinitely out.

After his first game back, against the Toronto Raptors, LeBron made some statements that didn’t sit well with the Lakers Nation and the NBA fans in general, stating that he doesn’t feel he’ll be at his 100% ever again for the rest of his career.

“Getting back to 100 percent is impossible. I don’t think I’ll get back to 100 percent in my career,” Bron said last Friday.

Well, Williams didn’t like those words and he was quick to call out LeBron, saying Michael Jordan would never say something like that. The former NBA player-turned analyst really didn’t appreciate LeBron’s comments and had some things to say to the King.

“I’ve never heard MJ say something like that…MJ just wouldn’t say anything at all.”

“I think LeBron James is the greatest basketball player of all time. I’ve said it, I still stand by. But, hearing LeBron talk about this the other day, and I quote: I knew I wasn’t gonna be back to 100 hundred. It’s impossible. I don’t think I will ever get back to 100% in my career. As a guy who played for the [Chicago] Bulls, who has watched Michael Jordan for a long time, I’ve never heard MJ say something like that,” Williams said on ESPN’s KJZ. “MJ just wouldn’t say anything.”

Jordan was never a guy who showed weakness and when he was against the odds, he tried and tried to beat them. He was always taking things personally and trying to get more motivation to surpass obstacles. That’s how he became the greatest player of all time and the idol of plenty of children around the world.

A lot of people were wondering when LeBron was going to succumb to father time and it looks like that’s happening this year. The Lakers haven’t had the best season with James and Anthony Davis sidelined for several games but if Bron comes back healthy, they will be a menace for the rest of the league.

Perhaps that was a strategy to make people think he’s slowing down but not everybody enjoyed the King saying those things when his team is about to face the final stretch of the 2020/21 regular season.
