Center Joel Embiid is one of the best big men in the league, and many believe he is the most dominant scorer in the NBA. He has led the league in scoring for the last two seasons, and his offensive prowess is rivaled by very few superstars.

It was recently reported that Joel Embiid is the 2022-23 MVP, and there’s no doubt that he’s a deserving recipient of the award. Embiid recently spoke out about how James Harden sacrificing on the court has helped him win the award, noting that the guard helps him get “easy opportunities” to score. Sam DiGiovanni of ClutchPoints relayed the news.

“James, I don’t even know where to start,” Embiid said. “Since he’s been here — he won’t tell me that — but I think he kind of made his goal for me to be MVP. He has given up a lot. Obviously, I’ve always said it, he’s the best playmaker I’ve ever played with and he’s the best playmaker probably in the NBA. He’s been helping me as far as getting me easy opportunities, whether it’s to score or just be a better basketball player.”

There’s no doubt that James Harden has accepted his role as the No. 2 option on the Philadelphia 76ers, and transitioned into a more pass-first playstyle. This has definitely helped the team succeed overall, though we did see him take on more of a scoring role when Joel Embiid was out for Game 1.

This regular season, Joel Embiid averaged 33.1 PPG, 10.2 RPG, and 4.2 APG for the Philadelphia 76ers. He has had an elite two-way season, and hopefully, we see him dominate in the playoffs, and perhaps even make the Finals.

Joel Embiid Will Play In Game 2 Against The Boston Celtics

It was recently reported that Joel Embiid will suit up for the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2, and there’s no doubt that his presence alone will be a boon for the team. Even if he isn’t 100% healthy, his offensive gravity will help create easier looks for his teammates.

It will be interesting to see if Joel Embiid can lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a series win over the Boston Celtics. The Celtics were definitely the favored team going into the series, but with the 76ers stealing one game on the road already, anything can happen.
