Julius Randle has had his ups and downs in recent seasons. During his time with the New York Knicks, he has made two All-Star Teams, the All-NBA Second Team once and the All-NBA Third Team once.

However, playoff success has been hard to come by, and he often gets the blame for some of that. Recently, he ended up having a more wholesome interaction than most with a fan on the street in Los Angeles though.

Randle was on crutches walking out of a building when the fan spotted him. He went up to him and said, “How’s the recovery coming, king? Great seeing you man. You’re a champ man. You’re a future champ. From LA to New York man, just a Knicks legend man! I like the Wu-Tang shirt in your post.”

Julius Randle appreciated the last compliment, saying, “Yeah? You a Wu-Tang fan?” After the fan said yes and then shifted the conversation to Tupac and him getting a star on the Walk Of Fame, Randle said, “I saw that. Did you attend?” He then added, “That’s what I grew up on, it’s what my mom used to play for me. Me against the world and all that.”

Following that, Randle’s car turned up and the conversation ended on a wholesome note with the fan again telling Randle that he would be a champ in the future.

Julis Randle has been at the receiving end of a lot of criticism from NBA fans, there were many on social media discussing trolling him this season. His hesitation to talk is visible even at the beginning of this interaction, although he eventually became quite personable and talked a fair bit. These types of interactions are so much better to see than the general heckling that goes viral.

Julius Randle’s Stats Are Already Really Good And He’s Working To Get Even Better

The New York Knicks have a solid core in Randle, Brunson, and Barrett and they have assets to add more quality players. While some may not believe in Randle, his averaging 25.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game on the season shows that he is an excellent NBA player.

Since last season, he has been working on getting even better. If the Knicks add another star to their team, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference next season and Randle might even become a champion after all.
