It’s been a rough couple of games for Julius Randle and the New York Knicks. The Knicks lost their second straight game as they fell short against the Orlando Magic.

The second quarter of the game finished with the Knicks trailing by eight points, and Randle was obviously furious. Another reason for Julius Randle’s anger was getting a technical foul by the referee after arguing to get a foul call on Magic’s Moe Wagner. Amidst Randle’s argument with the ref, his teammate, Immanuel Quickley, was trying to calm him down. Unfortunately, it led to Quickley getting yelled at by Randle.

The video clearly shows Randle taking out his frustration on Quickley at halftime. Randle is considered the leader of the team, and he certainly needs to do better to fulfill that role for the team.

Julius Randle finished the game with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists in 36 minutes of playing time. However, the Knicks still lost the game, with the final score being 111-106 in favor of the Magic.

The New York Knicks Have Hit A Rough Patch

Prior to their two consecutive defeats, the New York Knicks were in insane form. So much so that the franchise won 12 out of their 15 games. The Knicks climbed up the Eastern Conference behind those strong performances.

The Knicks currently have a record of 42-33, which is good enough for the team to be in the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference standings. However, the problematic thing for the team is that they are currently on a two-game losing streak.

It doesn’t take long to develop a long losing streak in the NBA, and fans have seen the Knicks do that countless times. On top of that, even if the Knicks make it to the playoffs, they may not be the real contenders to represent the East in the 2023 NBA Finals.

Teams like the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Boston Celtics are all better than them. But only time will tell if the Knicks can cause an upset in the East.
