On January 26, 2020, the world was given the shocking news that NBA legend Kobe Bryant passed away in a terrible helicopter crash. It sent shock waves around the world, players and fans alike couldn’t believe that something like that had happened.

Yesterday was the 2nd death anniversary of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. Even though two years have passed since that gruesome day, it is still hard to believe that Kobe is no longer in the world.

Bryant’s importance to the NBA will never be forgotten. On his death anniversary, many posted emotional messages on social media platforms about missing the Lakers legend.

Speaking of Lakers legends, former players like Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were among the Lakers legends. who posted emotional messages about Kobe’s passing away.

Former president of the Lakers Magic Johnson posted a short yet great message for Kobe. His tweet featured some pictures of him and Kobe throughout the years.

On the other hand, Kareem paid his tributes by posting a video message for the late-Kobe Bryant.

“Hey Laker nation, it’s Kareem. … I know many of you are out there and you still miss him, you still wish to see his brilliance on the court. And what he was doing as a dad, it was wonderful the way he was coaching girls and getting them into the game. I hope all of you out there remember him the way you should and give your prayers to his wife and family.”

While Magic and Kareem used Twitter as a medium to share their thoughts, Jerry West did it via an interview with the New York Times.

Via New York Times:

“He was just one of those unique players that comes along. He had a big personality. He was very bright. He was going to be a bigger success off the court than on the court. He was taken away too young.”

No matter how many years go by, these messages about Kobe will never stop. Be it from NBA legends, current players, or fans, Bryant touched the hearts of everyone through his actions.
