Stephen Curry is having yet another breakout season. The baby-faced assassin is putting up MVP numbers while leading the Golden State Warriors to the best record in the league.

As things stand right now, the Warriors have a record of 18-2 and the primary credit goes to their superstar guard. Considering the Dubs were struggling to even compete in the playoffs for the last two seasons; it is truly a testament to Steph’s ability to lead his team.

But this is not the first time that fans are seeing such dominance in the NBA. Another player has done it before and he is none other than NBA legend Michael Jordan. During his prime, Jordan was simply unstoppable, similar to what Steph has been doing this season.

Moreover, Jordan hit his stride in his later years as a member of the Chicago Bulls. Well, upon seeing similarities between their careers, NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins subtly compared Curry to prime-MJ.

“Imagine that. Steph has hit his 95-98 MJ stride, but from 35 feet out and after he already has 3 championships and 2 MVPs… God bless America!”

Getting compared to Mike is an honor on its own, but Perkins might be right about this comparison. Steph is simply playing sensationally while breaking records left and right.

As Perkins mentioned, it is even more amazing to see Steph play this well after he arguably has nothing left to prove. Moreover, Curry’s insane three-point shooting is something that makes him even scarier for his opponents.

On top of that, he is yet to let his efficiency take a hit. If Steph continues playing at this level, he is all set to join the 60/90 club while scoring more than 20 PPG. And guess what? only four other times a player has entered the 60/90 club putting up more than 20 PPG and all four instances belong to Curry.

Apart from this, he is the prime contender to win the 2021-22 NBA Scoring Title as well. Currently, he is tied with Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant for the exact same number of points and PPG.

Looking at the above mentioned stats, it might actually be true that Stephen Curry has entered the 95-98 Michael Jordan stride.
