Klay Thompson is nearing a return to the court. The Golden State Warriors shooting guard is finally coming back to action after missing two entire seasons with severe injuries. It’s been a while, but Thompson is coming back, and fans can’t wait to see him.

It’s been a minute since he last suited up, making a lot of money in the process. Klay has made a lot of cash during his active days, but ever since he went down, Thompson has surpassed the amount he made while he still played.

Recently, Redditor “exs1995” shared an interesting post about Thompson’s earnings, revealing he’s made almost $6 more million sidelined than on the court. Thompson made nearly $79 million until the 2019 NBA Finals. Since that moment, he made $84 million.

Rookie contract (2011/12-2014/15): $9,860,320

2nd Contract (2015/16-2018/19): $68,978,450

Total until injury in 2019 Finals: $78,838,770

Since being injured: 2019/20 : $32,742,000 2020/21: $35,361,360 2021/22: $16,211,282 until now (adjusted for 35 missed games this season)

Total since injury in 2019 Finals: $84,314,642

He’s had a lot of time to spend that money after suffering serious injuries. The Splash Brother, however, never lost the focus and did everything he could to return to the court in the best way.

Thompson is trying to return at the best level, and recent videos show he’s ready to take the league by storm and torch rivals with his shooting skills. It’s been a minute since he last played for the Warriors and Steve Kerr is excited to have the player back, even saying he would start when he returns.

Now it’s time to get another contract and increase the number he’s made. We can’t wait to see Klay doing his thing and leading the Warriors to the promised land once again.
