• Kyrie Irving has shared a cryptic message on Twitter/X

• He seemingly took shots at people who hated on him

• Irving re-signed with the Dallas Mavericks this offseason

Kyrie Irving has been one of the most engrossing NBA players of recent years. From his magnetic play on the court to his off-court controversies, it’s hard to ignore Kyrie. But the attention the eight-time All-Star brings also comes with hate, and he has seemingly sent a message to all the ones who have been doubting him.

“Smear campaigns are created by all the Cowards in our world. They Throw their rocks and then hide in the crowd and hope you crash out. And When you find out who it was/is and see them in person, go check their temperature face to face lol, I promise you their energy is different.”

Irving has been heavily scrutinized by the media in recent years. A lot of it has been justified, but after a point, it became a needless cycle of personal attacks.

Commentators like Stephen A. Smith even admitted it became personal after a point, but most of it seems to be settling down as Kyrie commits to making Dallas his home for the next three years.

Kyrie Irving Winning Back His Haters On The Court

With contract uncertainty behind him, Irving can fully focus on the court as the Mavericks look to make use of the Luka Doncic-Kyrie Irving backcourt. The roster around them has been refreshed and should lead to more wins and a playoff spot this season.

Grant Williams and Derrick Jones Jr. are major additions to the frontcourt, adding a lot of defense that the Mavs were lacking. Dante Exum could also be a two-way perimeter threat that is low-risk high-reward given his strong performances in the FIBA World Cup for Australia. Rookies Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Dereck Lively II are also defense-first players.

Kyrie and Luka were one of the most potent offensive duos in the NBA for their short span of games together last season. Irving averaged 27.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in 20 games with Dallas, showing he’s still a major offensive contributor. With the roster around them younger and better, the Mavs could be in for a great season, which will allow Irving to prove his doubters wrong on the court.

Kyrie Irving Has Had A Philanthropic Summer

Irving has been active in improving the community throughout this summer. Given the big contract he signed this summer and the millions he’s already accumulated over his NBA career, Irving keeps giving away money to good causes. He doesn’t do this with massive organizations in PR-led efforts but does it through direct donations to people in need.

Along with that, Irving has been using his voice to continue advocating for Black empowerment and racial equality. Irving’s political voice has often been controversial, with his disregard for the COVID-19 vaccine mandate in New York and anti-Semitic comments on social media being heavily scrutinized.

Regardless, he has been trying to send positive messages in the ways that he can.
