LeBron James was in the mood for joking around after the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night. James hilariously posted an edited version of the viral ‘Plane Lady’ video on Instagram with himself in it.

“Somebody come get her ASAP! She trying to blow my damn cover!”

Well, that certainly was an unreal performance that he put up against the Thunder in his 21st season in the league. LeBron had a game-high 40 points to go with 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, as he led the Lakers to a 129-120 win.

The Lakers led by as many as 26 points and when OKC somewhat threatened to make a bit of a comeback in the fourth quarter, James took over. The 38-year-old had 15 points in the period, as he recorded his first 40-point game of the 2023-24 campaign.

It was the first time in NBA history that someone hit the 40-point mark in their 21st season and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he gets to 50 at some point. It shouldn’t be possible for someone to be this good after so many years in the league, but well, LeBron is unreal after all.

NBA Fans Reacted To LeBron James’ Post

LeBron always generates a ton of buzz on social media and a joke like this one certainly got the internet talking. NBA fans hilariously reacted to this post.

One says LeBron is certainly not human, “Definitely not human.”

A fan hilariously said Michael Jordan would never post something like this, “Jordan would never post this corny s***.”

A fan believes LeBron is the GOAT in basketball and comedy, “Not only is he the goat of basketball…he also the goat of comedy….LeGifted.”

One called out James for self-glazing, “The self-glaze is insane.”

LeBron’s former teammate Channing Frye thought this was his best post, “This is your best post by far!”

LeBron has had quite a few good posts over the years, so I’m not sure I agree with Frye there. For those wondering about the video itself, it had gone viral in July earlier this year. The woman’s name is Tiffany Gomas and her mental health was called into question, as she was claiming that the person sitting next to her wasn’t real.

She later clarified it was a figure of speech and that she wasn’t claiming that the man was not real. The two had gotten into an argument that led to her saying that, which does make sense.

LeBron James Said It Was A Must-Win Game Against The Thunder

The Lakers came into that contest with the Thunder on the back of four straight defeats, and the stakes were certainly a bit higher than usual. After getting the win, LeBron claimed it was one of the first must-wins of the season for the Lakers

When told it was the first time in this season that he had scored more points than his age, James stated that desperate times call for desperate measures. The win meant the Lakers improved to 16-14 on the season but if they are to continue on their winning ways, they might need another incredible performance from LeBron.

The Lakers take on the Boston Celtics, who are tied for the best record in the league at 22-6, on Christmas, and they’ll have to be at their absolute best to get the better of their eternal rivals.
