LeBron James and Michael Jordan shared an incredible moment at the NBA All-Star game last night. Prior to the All-Star game tipping off, the NBA honored the top 75 players of all time. And two of the best players of all time got together for a brief moment before the ceremony to create what will go down as a historic interaction.

LeBron James and Michael Jordan met each other, shared some conversations, laughter, and a hug with each other. The two players really seemed to be enjoying each other’s company and were having fun sharing a conversation with each other, something they rarely get to do because of their schedules. Fans were thrilled to see the way the two best players of all time interacted with each other.

LeBron seemed to use that interaction with his childhood hero to spur him onto a great performance. He scored 24 points and even made the game-winning shot to extend team LeBron’s All-Star game-winning streak to 5-0. And after the game, James spoke candidly about the role MJ played in his life.

During the post-game press conference, LeBron James opened up and shared his honest thoughts on Michael Jordan, and the impact Michael Jordan had on his life and his role as a basketball player. LeBron noted how poetic it was that he used Jordan’s signature fadeaway shot to help his team get the win.

“Part of me wouldn’t be here without MJ’s inspiration. Always wanted to be like him growing up. It’s crazy that the game-winning shot tonight was a fadeaway, and it was inspired by MJ. The way he wore his shoes, the way he wore his uniform, all the way down to some of the cars that he drove, how much he inspired me.”

LeBron made quite a few headlines last night. He explained his interaction with Jordan, and why it was so important for him. He also commented about potentially returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, after his experience returning to the city for the NBA All-Star game. James noted that the door is not closed on him potentially coming back to the Cavaliers in the future.

James will be hoping to use the next few days to recharge his batteries and continue this momentum. The Lakers are in a tight spot right now, and they need to be able to win most of their games to make sure they can at least make it to the NBA playoffs this year.
