LeBron James Was Happy That The Referees Let Kevin Durant And Joel Embiid Talk Trash To Each Other: “That’s Dope! Understanding The Assignment.”

2 Min Read

The eyes of the NBA world were on the highly anticipated game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers. The two sides were playing each other for the first time since they agreed to a trade that sent James Harden to Philly and Ben Simmons to Brooklyn. The hype for the game was unreal, and the game lived up to the hype.

The Nets dominated the 76ers, beating them in a 30-point blowout. Kevin Durant had an incredible performance, putting up 25 points as the Nets got the win. During the game, Durant and Harden went at each other, talking trash and confronting each other, as tensions were running high while the NBA world was watching.

One person who quite enjoyed the altercation was none other than LeBron James. James took to Twitter to thank the referees for not intervening in the confrontation and awarding technicals to both players, something we have seen far too often over the last few years.

I love that the refs let KD and JE talk that talk to each other and didn’t TECH them up! That’s DOPE!! Understanding the assignment

Durant was unafraid during the game, and equally unafraid after the game. He took shots at the 76ers after the game, saying that they weren’t a good team when it came to their transition offense. On top of that, he noted that their performance also quietened the 76ers fans, to the point where they stopped chanting things against Ben Simmons.

The 76ers even hosted a legend in the audience, with Julius Erving sitting in the audience. But even he looked visibly bored, as his former team was losing to the team he represented while playing in the ABA. Fans will be hoping for a full playoff series between the two sides.
