The Boston Celtics recently went down 3-0 to the Miami Heat losing 102-128 in Game 3, and there’s no doubt that this was a disappointing result for them. Though they have more talent than the Heat overall, with two All-NBA wings in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, they clearly didn’t have the discipline to close out a veteran Heat team that can punish inconsistencies.

This was not a good closeout game for Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Tatum shot 6-18 for 14 points, while Brown shot 6-17 for 12 points. A lot of fans took to Twitter to react to their performance, with one fan stating that they looked “petrified” in a must-win game.

Another fan called the duo “frauds”.

One fan stated that Bam Adebayo owns Jaylen Brown.

There were some who mocked the idea that Tatum and Brown were the best duo in the league.

There were even people that stated the duo should be playing abroad.

There were some accounts that directed blame at Joe Mazzulla rather than the star duo.

Some had humorous comments, and joked that Jimmy Butler was “smoking that Celtics pack”

This could be a franchise-changing loss for the Boston Celtics, and there’s no doubt that they need to make changes to become a championship-level team. Whether that is coaching or trading one of their stars, something has to happen.

Though there is a chance Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown could lead a comeback from 3-0 down, that seems almost impossible, as teams have never been able to do that. However, there’s a first time for everything, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
