The Los Angeles Lakers have struggled as a team this season, but they still have a chance of potentially making it to the playoffs, through the play-in tournament, or potentially making the 6th seed in the Western Conference.

However, they may have to end up making a run to the playoffs without LeBron James, and the Lakers are already preparing for the possibility they will be without the superstar for the rest of the regular season. Underneath a recent Twitter post, fans shared their opinions on the Lakers potentially having to get to the playoffs without LeBron James. One fan, for example, said that it is flat-out not going to happen.

Another fan stated that he believes in Anthony Davis.

Others ridiculed the Lakers for thinking they can make the postseason without LeBron James for the rest of the regular season.

Some, however, were actually optimistic about the Lakers’ chances.

It will definitely be interesting to see if the Los Angeles Lakers end up making the playoffs if LeBron James ends up sitting for the rest of the regular season. They do have a solid amount of talent even without him, and we’ll see what ends up happening in the future.

Anthony Davis will be crucial for the Los Angeles Lakers if they are to make the playoffs without LeBron James. The big man is currently averaging 25.8 PPG, 12.6 RPG, and 2.3 BPG for the team, and he will have to take it to another level to keep the Los Angeles Lakers afloat.

Anthony Davis Wants LeBron James To Take His Time With His Injury

The key for the Los Angeles Lakers is having LeBron James healthy by the time the playoffs come around, as he is their only chance of making a deep run. In fact, Anthony Davis has already stated that he doesn’t want James to “rush back really early.”

“What I don’t want is him to rush back really early, and it’s still bothering him,” Davis said. “And now he can’t be himself… I want him to get completely right and healthy before he steps on the floor. It’s on us other guys in the locker room to step up and continue to win basketball games.”

It was revealed that LeBron James avoided surgery, and hopefully, he can return at 100%. They need his dynamic offensive skill set to truly be a great team and get far in the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Lakers have a lot of players that could potentially help replace LeBron James’ offensive production until he comes back. They will need some of them to step up, and we’ll see how they do in the coming weeks.
