Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons has been up to big things since we last saw him on the basketball court — and he wants the whole world to know about it. In some photos shared on Instagram, Simmons teased a collaboration with Ferrari that has him and his fiancée, Maya Jama, boasting with excitement.

In a picture posted by Jama, Simmons is seen sitting at a desk in Maranello, where certain wealthy individuals can put their names down for a new Ferrari and check out all the customization options available.

In a follow-up photo from Ben, he is seen posing in front of a beautiful silver Ferrari 812 GTS with the caption “something special coming soon.”

Simmons is notorious for his love of sports cars. From a Rolls-Royce Cullinan to a Wraith, he is obsessed with luxury vehicles to the point where people thought he was going bankrupt.

“I was told by somebody very reliable he may be tapped out, broke,” said one insider. “Cash flow broke. Because he’s losing so much money, but he spent so much money. 17.5 million dollar home, remember he has to pay taxes too. 17.5 million dollar home. He’s got two homes in the Philadelphia area, probably worth eight or nine million. He buys a new car every month, four or five hundred thousand. He just spends money like it’s nothing because he thinks it never ends. And the person that told, it’s very reliable that he has got serious cash flow issues…”

Clearly, Simmons is a fan of expensive rides and he has the funds to support his hobby after signing a $169.65M extension in 2019.

Sadly, we have not seen Simmons on the court in over a year. After his team’s playoff elimination in 2021, he sat out the entire season with a mix of mental health issues and a back injury.

On the surface, it seems like he’s doing well enough now.
