NBA big man Enes Kanter may not be getting much playing time on the court, but he’s in the headlines now more than ever before.

Recently, the 29-year-old has been taking a stand against communism and other regimes that limit human freedoms, going so far as to call out LeBron James and other stars for their “fake” stance on social justice.

“Money over Morals for the ‘King’. Sad and disgusting how these athletes pretend they care about social justice. They really do ‘shut up and dribble’ when Big Boss (China) says so. Did you educate yourself about the slave labor that made your shoes or is that not part of your research?”

“I had so many conversations with LeBron’s ex-teammates and even they are the one that told me that LeBron, all he’s doing is own PR and everything he’s doing trying to stand up for things is not that he really feels about it.”

Besides calling out companies and stars, Kanter recently changed his last name to Freedom, further adding some attention to his cause.

Most recently, the Swiss-born Turkish American made an appearance on the notorious Tucker Carlson show, where he called the U.S. the best country in the world.

“People should feel really blessed to be in America. They love to criticize it but when you live in a country like Turkey, you appreciate the freedoms you have here. “I feel like they should just keep their mouth shut and stop criticizing the greatest nation in the world and they should focus on their freedoms and their human rights and democracy.”

As a well-traveled man, Enes certainly has more authority than most to compare the U.S. to other countries. If he says America should be appreciated, perhaps we should all listen.

Whatever the case, this isn’t the last we’re going to hear from Freedom. Over the next few weeks and months, and maybe even years, we can expect him to continue standing up for people’s rights.
