Deciding the NBA’s Top 5 best players is never an easy feat. Names like Tim Duncan, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar come up all the time, even if nobody can ever come to a consensus.

But, according to Celtics star Jayson Tatum, there are three guys who have to be on everyone’s Top 5 list: LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bean Bryant.

“Anybody that don’t have Mike, Bron and Kobe in their Top 5, I really have a hard time listening to them.”

At a quick glance, it’s hard to argue that those three players are not among the Top 5 best basketballers in history. Together, they have 15 NBA Championships, over 101,000 points, and 10 NBA MVPs.

They’re among the greatest talents we’ve ever seen, and that much is clear.

But these types of things are always going to controversial, and this is no different. Everybody’s player ranking looks different, and each person has their own reasons for the order of their list.

In Tatum’s case, he seems certain that all three of those legends are in basketball’s All-Time five. At the very least, all three are some of the most popular players the world has ever seen.

No matter where you have them, though, their greatness cannot be denied.
