The Los Angeles Lakers fell to another loss on the season when they faced the 17-17 Miami Heat. The Lakers were coming off a vital win against the Orlando Magic, but the Magic are among the worst teams in the league. The Heat have struggled this season but were comfortably the better team on the night.

LeBron James returned to the city where he won 2 championships and had an admirable 27-point night. However, there just wasn’t enough offensive firepower on the Lakers to keep pace with the Heat, leading to a 98-112 loss which has fans extremely upset.

Laker fans need to realign their expectations. It is clear that Rob Pelinka and Jeanie Buss do not care enough about LeBron’s fading prime and are completely okay with using the LBJ appeal to boost the team’s status and financial value. On the court, this product baffles everyone as James continues excelling with an incompetent front office that refuses to help him.

Why Is LeBron James Not Putting Pressure On The Lakers?

Rob Pelinka had the audacity to say that LeBron signing an extension was what they needed in order to commit their future draft picks to make trades to get better now. He hasn’t lifted a finger outside hurting the team by trading two wings, Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson for Patrick Beverley.

Even fans agree that LeBron should demand a trade but that isn’t something he has ever done in his career. It seems he has this season and the next to waste away in LA before he can walk in free agency. The incompetence on the Lakers’ part for the last 2 years has shocked the entire NBA. But LeBron also needs to use the respect he has within the league and the organization to push for moves to be made, or leave the team as soon as possible.
