Derrick Rose is definitely one of the biggest ‘what-ifs’ in NBA history, as he was bothered by injuries that derailed his career, which looked incredibly promising after the first three years.
Rose became the youngest MVP award winner in 2011 after a magical season with the Chicago Bulls, even taking them to the Eastern Conference Finals that year. Unfortunately, they lost to LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh in the series, but after that moment, many people knew Rose and his Bulls were coming.
Sadly, none of that happened, as Rose’s body started messing with him, making him a shell of the player he appeared to be at the beginning of his career. Rose became one of the most beloved players in the NBA due to all the bad things he had to live, but everybody knows he could have been so much more than he is right now.
NBA Fans Debate If Derrick Rose Is A Future Hall Of Famer
He remains a player of interest in the league, even linked with trades to contenders like the Dallas Mavericks. After the trade season starts tomorrow, D-Rose could leave the New York Knicks and find a new home in the league. Meanwhile, his name was recently brought up with a huge question: does he belong to the Hall of Fame?

Many fans replied to this, starting a big discussion on how Rose stands among the greatest of all time. It’s pretty clear that he could have had a so much better career, but that’s not enough to make it for fans.
Definitely not wtf

In basketball yes, even though he didn’t live up to his potential cause of injuries he had an amazing year in college, a rookie of the year, MVP, some amazing seasons and a 13+ year career

Love Derrick Rose but let's be honest he was not the same after the injury you can't be in a hall of fame on what could've been.

Very few guys are guarantees if you think about it,i do think he will eventually make it though because of his story outside of the game and just how much people appreciate him

Name an mvp that isn’t
— IV (@The_Fourth_Wade) December 14, 2022
No chance. You don’t get in the hall of fame for being good 1/4 of your entire career.

Yes, no debate necessary. Anyone debating this was born after the year 2000 and shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Yall need to let go of this love affair with him. He’s a had a great career but he never became the player he was headed towards because of injury. Love him as a player but it’s a stretch to say he’s had a HOF career

Derrick Rose is considered one of the greatest Chicago Bulls players of all time after everything he did during his best years. He was expected to lead the team to the promised land just like Michael Jordan did in the 90s, but we all know that never happened. Still, Rose is one of the most beloved players in the league, but love isn’t enough to become a Hall of Famer.
