When it comes to the hairline of professional athletes, LeBron James is king for all the wrong reasons. While there is no denying his on-court talent, James isn’t a perfect human by any stretch, and his rapidly receding hairline is probably one of his most notable and publicized flaws.

For years, fans and analysts have clamored for the King to just go bald instead of trying to rock with his struggling scalp — which is why a lot of fans were excited when they saw a picture of him bald last week.

Evidently, that picture was some kind of hoax because James showed up to media day on Monday with a fresh-looking head of hair that shocked internet users. Of course, since the subject of LeBron’s scalp became quite popular this week, the media made sure to mention it to James himself during the Lakers’ media day on Monday.

NBA Fans Loved This Moment Between LeBron James And A Reporter During NBA Media Day

It was good enough for a lighthearted chuckle from LeBron, but fans loved the moment on Instagram and flooded the comments with all sorts of reactions.

“Nah Bron hair line made the greatest comeback since 2016”

“Bron cheatin worse than Udoka with that thing “

“He really wanted to cry but held it together “

“As long as he got money, he gone keep that hairline intact “

“He made sure to show the spot isn’t there anymore lol”

“who tf starts a interview like this”

“Dat ain’t bad reporter ain’t bad at shawty “

“Why he do my goat like that tho.”

“They have asked him every damn question under the sun leave him alone “

“no way y’all didn’t know he was using a filter”

LeBron’s hairline battle has been ongoing for years, but he seems to be winning the war. If you compare his hair now to what it used to be, you can see a very clear improvement — even if it isn’t 100% natural.

Either way, it’s just a good thing that he’s able to laugh it off instead of being insecure about it.

As for his upcoming campaign with the Lakers, nobody really knows how it will play out. With him, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook, the Lakers will have all the pieces they need to compete.

But it will ultimately be up to LeBron to unlock his team’s full potential, and that will be no easy task.
