Zion Williamson is one of the best young talents in the NBA, and there’s no doubt that he’s a top-tier power forward. He was out with a foot injury during the 2021-22 season, but when he’s healthy, Zion Williamson is one of the most unstoppable slashers in the league. During the 2020-21 season, Zion Williamson averaged 27.0 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 3.7 APG.
Many fans are anticipating Zion Williamson’s return this season and for good reason. Due to his play style and dunking ability, Zion Williamson is an extremely entertaining player to watch.
Recently, Zion Williamson put on a little show for the fans that were in attendance for the New Orleans Pelicans’ open practice. He did a 360 dunk, with many fans cheering him on.

It is quite likely that we’ll see more of these dunks from Zion Williamson in the future. He is clearly healthy and ready to start the season with the New Orleans Pelicans. Hopefully, we see the forward play at an All-NBA level during the 2022-23 season and perhaps we will witness Zion Williamson remind the world of just how good and talented he is as a player. Some people believe that he’s already a top-10 player in the league, and this is his chance to prove it.
The New Orleans Pelicans Will Be A Competitive Team Next Season
The New Orleans Pelicans managed to make the playoffs during the 2021-22 season without Zion Williamson, making their way through the play-in tournament under Brandon Ingram’s leadership. With Zion Williamson returning for the team, it is quite possible that they will be able to win a series during this upcoming year, and perhaps we’ll even see them become a dark horse contender.
Of course, Zion Williamson remaining healthy will be key for the team, as they need his offensive production to have a successful year. He and forward Brandon Ingram are key to the team’s championship hopes, both in the present and in the future. The team will be hoping that the star duo is good enough to win on the highest stage at some point.
With that being said, most people do not expect the New Orleans Pelicans to be a true contender this year. They are still a young team and are clearly a piece or two away from truly making noise in the Western Conference. However, that does not mean that they can’t be a championship contender in the future, and the talent currently on the roster suggests that the team definitely has a pathway to becoming a team of that caliber.
