The Los Angeles Lakers have gotten off to a fine 10-4 start to this 2025-26 season, and their players appear to have great chemistry not just on the court, but off it as well. They have been constantly trolling each other in recent times, and a couple of them were back at it after the 119-95 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.

Luka Doncic started off proceedings by commenting on Jaxson Hayes‘ Instagram post. Hayes put up one with the caption “3hunna,” and Doncic had a simple request.

“Speak English,” Doncic commented.

Hayes hilariously responded by stating that Doncic doesn’t know English himself. The Slovenian would certainly disagree with that.

Doncic had roasted Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves by claiming he speaks better English than both of them after Friday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The five-time All-Star had previously been on the receiving end of some trolling from Reaves and has been on a spree of his own since.

Considering the kind of tear that Doncic has been on in social media, it was a bit surprising that he didn’t go after Jake LaRavia as well. LaRavia missed a dunk after Reaves had thrown him a lob in transition in the fourth quarter against the Bucks. You knew his teammates were going to come after him, and it was rookie Adou Thiero who got things rolling with a wild comment on his Instagram post.

“Make your dunks bum,” Thiero commented.

“Lemme hold sum bounce,” LaRavia responded.

Reaves made his way there later as well and had a clear message for LaRavia.

“No more lobs,” Reaves commented.

It was just that kind of a night for LaRavia. He had four points (1-10 FG), six rebounds, one assist, and two steals against the Bucks.

While LaRavia would like to forget about this game, that’s not the case for Thiero, who had four points (1-1 FG) and one rebound. He was making his NBA debut against the Bucks and got the game ball for scoring his first points.

The Lakers initially had the ball taken away from them by crew chief Pat Fraher, much to their confusion. Fraher refused to return the ball despite their protests and instead gave it to a Bucks staffer. Thiero’s teammates continued to make their case with the staffer, but she wasn’t obliging.

Finally, Giannis Antetokounmpo stepped in and ended all the drama by handing the ball to Doncic himself. Thiero was grateful to Antetokounmpo for the act and to his teammates for ensuring he got the ball.

This whole episode showed just how well this group is getting together. Teammates don’t necessarily need to be the best of friends for the team to have success, but it sure doesn’t hurt if they get along as well as these Lakers players seem to.

The Lakers are in action next against the Utah Jazz at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday at 10:30 PM ET. This game could also see the long-awaited return of a certain LeBron James, and you wonder if he will join in on all this trolling at some point as well.

What we do know is that Reaves and Doncic certainly won’t be stopping. The former stated their relationship is all about talking trash to each other, and the rest of the team appears to have followed suit.
