Savannah James recently came under fire from rapper Kevin Gates, and her husband, LeBron James, has now seemingly come to her defense. LeBron posted two pictures of himself and Savannah on Instagram with an interesting caption.

“‘Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants.’ Where to next, Queen?!?! Let’s get it!”

The pictures that LeBron chose to post were quite fitting as well, considering what Gates had said. In case you missed it, the rapper had stated that Savannah was the reason why he wouldn’t want to be in the Los Angeles Lakers star’s shoes.

“He one of the greatest players to ever play the game, but I wouldn’t want to trade places with him,” Gates said. “… I don’t like the way Savannah look at LeBron. I like the way them white women look at LeBron. Like, when as soon as he walked out there, they just be like, ‘Oh oh oh.’ They be d***ed out.

“But it’s like I noticed when he go do the handshake with the main player on his team, which is that, it’s like you act like I’m bothering you, b****,” Gates continued. “I’m the greatest player in the world, one of them. Top five, top 10, I’m one of them, and I’m in the playoffs, and you act like the warden of the jail. Like, you came here to police me.

“You not d***ed out like these white women just d***ed about me in here.” Gates added. “I couldn’t do it. When I’ve been around that dude, that dude just his spirit so loving and giving, it hurt me to see that… I know a lot of people gonna hate what I just said, but I’mma be honest… I love LeBron, and I hate that for him, bro. I hate that he got to go through that.”

As if all this wasn’t bad enough, Gates also stated that Savannah looked like former NBA star Lamar Odom when she first met LeBron. Talk about crossing the line. Gates didn’t feel the need to apologize after James made that post either. Instead, he responded by stating, “The truth hurts, but it heals.”

Gates really has no business commenting on someone else’s relationship in this manner. Sure, Savannah might not come across as someone who is all too interested in LeBron’s complex handshakes and doesn’t always look at him with stars in her eyes, but she doesn’t deserve to be called out like this for that.

Savannah has been by LeBron’s side for over two decades now. She has supported him every step of the way, and he is very grateful to her for that. LeBron even admitted he wouldn’t be in the position he is today if not for Savannah. His opinion is what matters most in this situation, and he is glad to have her as his wife.

LeBron and Savannah started dating when they were in high school and got married in 2013. They have three children together: Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri. Unlike so many high-profile relationships, there has been no real controversy surrounding LeBron and Savannah, and here’s hoping that remains the case in the future as well.
