Following another embarrassing loss for the Lakers, former NBA forward Robert Horry hardly found the words to describe the state of the team.

Clearly dejected and demoralized, Horry spoke for all of Laker Nation when he expressed his disappointment with the ball club.

“I don’t know really what to say. You watch this team and all of a sudden, they give you that excellent third quarter and you’re like ‘okay, this is the Lakers we fell in love with.’ And now all of a sudden they flip the script where the ball doesn’t move, everybody says ‘we got a run going, let me be the star now, let me take a bad shot.’ And you can’t have this if you want to be a ball club that wins games. You have to be consistent and stay the course. It’s just hard sometimes to sit here and stay positive and watch this because they keep doing dumb stuff.”

Over on Twitter, fans once again blasted the Purple and Gold with a mix of memes, jokes, and criticism for every player involved.

There was even some trolling happening during the game. Patrick Beverley called his opponents trash and even slapped LeBron’s backside as he relished in the beat-down. Karl-Anthony Towns took part in mocking Russell Westbrook after he threw up an ugly airball.

The situation is volatile, but is there any hope left for the Lakers? Is there any chance at redemption? Right now, it doesn’t look good.

At 11 games under .500, the best the team can hope for is a spot in the play-ins. Even if they make it through that, they will have to face a tough first-round opponent without home-court advantage.

To be blunt, the odds for a miracle turnaround are not in their favor.
