The Chicago Bulls are having a sweet moment right now. The 6x NBA champions have reasons to be excited this season after becoming one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference and the entire association.

Adding DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso turned out to be a great decision by the team’s front office, as they sit 3rd in the Eastern Conference standings with an 11-5 record.

The addition of DeRozan was met with skepticism from several media members, and the player hasn’t forgotten about it. Following a 114-108 win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, the former Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs player took a shot at the doubters, sending a message about his fit with Zach LaVine.

“Guess it ain’t working. Ha!” DeRozan captioned the pic with.

NBA fans reacted to the pic, showing respect to the Bulls duo, but one comment stood out the most. It wasn’t from a fan, but another player, who happened to play with DeRozan in Toronto and San Antonio.

Rudy Gay took a cheeky dig at the veteran swingman, trolling him for posting a flu-game-like pic with LaVine.

“Foh fake ass flu game pic,” the current Utah Jazz player commented.

We don’t know if DeRozan posted the pic for this purpose, but it does resemble the famous pic of Scottie Pippen carrying Michael Jordan off the court after his infamous ‘flu game’ against the Utah Jazz in 1997 NBA Finals.

That is one of the most iconic pictures in NBA history and it’s cool to see two of the team’s figures somehow emulating it. Still, Rudy didn’t let them go away with that and roasted his former teammate big time.

Meanwhile, the Bulls continue their good season with a win against Nikola Jokic and his Denver Nuggets. On the other hand, the Jazz also sit at 3rd in the West, with a 10-5 record.

In a surprising season, we could see these two teams clashing in the Finals, where their young stars and talented veterans would try to lead them to the promised land. DeMar could take revenge on the court for this comment, or maybe the next time they see each other on the floor.
