Semi Ojeleye On James Harden Joining Boston Celtics: “Honestly, I Don’t Know If He Would Fit.”

Semi Ojeleye of the Boston Celtics doesn’t seem to be a fan of James Harden landing in Boston to join the C’s. The Beard has been linked with several teams ever since he asked for a trade at the start of the offseason and as the days go by, his list of preferred destinations keeps getting bigger.

At this point, it’s very clear. Harden wants to play anywhere but Houston but that won’t be an easy job to carry out for the team or the player. Sam Amick and Kelly Iko of The Athletic recently revealed Harden has added two more teams to his list of preferred destinations, with the Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers gaining attention from the player.

Sources told The Athletic that the Houston Rockets guard has recently deemed the Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers among his preferred destinations. Brooklyn and Philadelphia were the first teams to receive that distinction back in mid-December, followed by Miami and Milwaukee being added in the weeks thereafter.

This appears to be a good solution for Harden and his team but not everybody is keen to see the player joining their team. Semi Ojeleye of the Celtics shared his opinion on this matter and it wasn’t so encouraging for the 2018 MVP. Semi doesn’t see where Harden would fit with the Celtics.

For those wondering about the Semi Ojeleye quote floating around regarding Harden, here it is via his Twitch stream.

You can say whatever you want but Ojeleye has a valid point. The Celtics do have the personnel to trade for Harden but the culture of the team isn’t what Harden is used to in Houston. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are the best players on the Celtics and one imagines the Rockets would like to receive one of them in return for Harden.

Yes, he can see with good eyes going to Boston but if the Celtics are smart, they won’t hear any of that.
