Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless came together as co-hosts for FS1s new show called Undisputed back in 2016. The two had great chemistry and ended up making it one of the most popular sports shows on television.

While it was smooth sailing for the longest time, cracks began appearing in their relationship last year. They were trolled by Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal for trading personal shots at each other in December, and it seemed like they might go their separate ways.

Another crack then appeared after Bayless put out what many felt was a tone-deaf tweet after NFL player Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field due to a cardiac arrest. Sharpe skipped the show the next day because of it as tensions rose, but the two have been quite amiable with each other in recent weeks. Some wondered if they had a conversation off-air, and Sharpe revealed that they did during an appearance on SiriusXM.

“A lot of times Mad Dog (Chris Russo) people look at things like you can have 15 great years and somebody have a bad moment and they are willing to throw all of that away. Those 2 months that Skip and I, we disagreed a lot, sometimes I think things went over the line. I didn’t want that, and so I appreciate everything Skip had done for me. Bringing me there, giving me an opportunity to show that I was more than a football player. I could talk about more in the sports world than just football. So, I wasn’t willing to throw that away. Skip and I just needed to go into a room and talk and calmer heads prevailed.”

“The thing that I conveyed to Skip is that look we can disagree but I want the color between the lines. I don’t want the disagreements to go outside of the lines.” When asked if things did go outside the lines, Sharpe added, “Yeah, it did. I think everybody thought that.”

It definitely did cross the line at times with personal shots being fired, and they needed to have a conversation to sort things out. Bayless is quite a controversial figure, though, and he tends to go overboard at times, so you do wonder how long this will last.

Shannon Sharpe States That Giannis Antetokounmpo Is The Best Player In The NBA

While Sharpe is well-known for being a huge LeBron James fan, he isn’t of the belief that James is the best player in the NBA today. He states that the title belongs to Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is having another outstanding season.

Giannis has led the Bucks to the second-best record in the league despite Khris Middleton being a non-factor for the most part, which is really impressive. The Bucks will need Middleton to get back to his best for the playoffs, though, as it was his absence that ultimately led to their defeat in the Conference Semifinals last year.
