Shaquille O’Neal Was Shocked The First Time He Attended A Dennis Rodman Party: “I Thought I Was The King Of The Club.”

2 Min Read

Dennis Rodman was famous for being a terrific defender and the greatest rebounder and role player of all time. He earned a reputation with the Detroit Pistons, getting under rivals’ skins. After that, he played for the San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls, confirming he was one of the most controversial players of all time.

Besides his talents on the court, Rodman was known for being a big party guy who didn’t care about anything, he loved the nightlife and that’s something that never affected his performance on the court.

That’s how he became so popular in Chicago and then in Hollywood, where he found another great city to unleash the beast and enjoy the night. He was so great at throwing parties that Shaquille O’Neal couldn’t help but praise them and name him the king of parties.

During a recent edition of The Big Podcast with Shaq, O’Neal opened up on his time with Rodman in L.A., calling him the worst teammate he ever had, before giving some flowers to the parties he used to throw.

“I went to one of his parties one time,” O’Neal said, via Sportskeeda. “I was like, ‘What?’ I thought I was the king of the club’.”

There is no love between these two, as Shaq recently criticized Rodman for his behavior at the NBA Top 75 ceremony in Cleveland. Rodman also had some things to say about Shaq, criticizing his way to endorse products and behavior. Their personalities are more similar than they like to admit, but obviously, they can’t co-exist.

We are talking about two players who left a huge mark on the game and nothing will change that. They were close to throwing hands once but Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen stopped Rodman from messing things up. Nothing has changed after many years and it doesn’t seem like it will in the near future.
