Stephen A. Smith Responds To Lakers Win: “They Should Cruise To The Title.”

1 Min Read

It seems the Lakers have peaked at exactly the right time.

LeBron James is putting on his usual show in the postseason, Anthony Davis is dominating on the inside, and the supporting cast seems to finally be hitting their shots consistently.

In tonight’s game 1 victory against Denver, they looked nearly unbeatable, firing on almost all cylinders.

Amongst a sea of reactions from the community, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith was just one of many who praised L.A., saying they should “cruise” to the Chip for the rest of this postseason.

The Denver Nuggets have been looked over and counted out for much of the 2019-20 campaign. If anything about their last two series shows us, it’s that we should take them seriously — even against the best in the West.

But tonight’s game was definitely an indicator as to what the Lakers are like at their best. And, in case you haven’t caught on, they’re pretty hard to beat.

And after so many doubts regarding their status coming into the bubble, it’s telling that they’ve turned it on at the very moment they needed to. Stephen A., and many others, have already taken notice.
