• Stephen Curry describes winning the 2022 NBA Championship as an ’emotional rollercoaster’

• Curry finally won the first NBA Finals MVP of his decorated career in 2022

• The Golden State Warriors star slammed his critics, and couldn’t stop himself from crying

Prior to the 2021-22 NBA season, most thought the era of Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors was over. After making five straight NBA Finals from 2015 to 2019, the Dubs missed playoffs in back-to-back seasons.

However, in the 2022 playoffs, Curry led the Warriors to the organization’s fourth NBA Championship in eight years. Steph cried on camera after becoming the champions of the league in 2022. Curry opened up about the moment in a recent interview with ‘Big Boy TV.’

Big Boy: “I noticed in the championship in 21-22, you cried like it was almost like your first one. Is there a reason why that one felt just as special? Was it the chatter that you heard, with being so great that it’s a gift and a curse?”

Stephen Curry: “We got so far away the mountaintop at a certain point with the injuries, the changing of the scenery, moving from Oakland to San Francisco, our roster changing, like you name it. … The fact that none of it was guaranteed but that was just a culmination of a three-year journey from game six of the 2019 Finals to game 6 of the ’22 Finals. That three-year journey was an emotional rollercoaster journey.”

Steph also won the 2021-22 NBA Finals MVP for putting up 31.2 PPG, 6.0 RPG, and 5.0 APG vs. the Boston Celtics. Led by Curry, the Dubs won the series in six games over the Boston Celtics.

Stephen Curry Wants To Finish His Career With The Warriors

Being drafted using the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Stephen Curry has spent his entire career with the Golden State Warriors.

He has already spent 14 seasons with the team, which is rare in today’s NBA. Curry is currently 35 years old, so it’s no surprise that questions about his future in the league have started to rise. The four-time NBA champion wants to finish his career with the Warriors.

Curry has become a Warriors legend and still has plenty of gas left in the tank. While he has no immediate plans to retire from the league, whenever that day arrives, he wants to wear a Warriors jersey during his last game.
