• Stephen Curry thinks the Warriors will come out like hunters next season

• As reigning champions for the 2022-23 season, Curry felt the Warriors were hunted

• The team has added Chris Paul this summer to help them reach the top of the mountain

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors will come out next season with a vengeance. The aging trio of Steph, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson don’t have many years together as consistent title contenders, so Curry is hell-bent on the Warriors making the most of next season. He referred to them as hunters.

“It’s unprecedented in terms of three core guys trying to keep proving people wrong and that we have what it takes. We’re in that season again. We’re the hunter now, not the hunted, and we’re trying to embrace that.”

The Warriors were definitely hunted after their 2022 Championship win. Teams were ready for their style of play, though internal issues also played a huge part in why Golden State couldn’t succeed.

The Warriors’ title defense campaign ended at the hands of bitter rivals, the Lakers led by LeBron James. Revenge is a powerful motivator and the Warriors will use it to their advantage.

Can The Warriors Compete For A Title Again?

If you had to pick out the four best teams in the West, it would likely feature the defending champion Nuggets along with teams led by LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry. The Nuggets will be the favorite, but the Lakers, Suns, and Warriors have the pieces to make their title defense a very uncomfortable season.

The Warriors have tried reshaping their roster by trading Jordan Poole for a much more measured point guard like Chris Paul. Paul will be a crucial mentor for young stars like Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody while also allaying the team’s drop-off when the started are on the bench.

The Conference has gotten tough around them, so it’ll be interesting to see if Steph, Klay, and Draymond can use new additions like CP3 and Dario Saric to make a deep run in the West once again.
