Every NBA franchise has had a great player throughout history, sometimes they have more but every single organization has one player that really marked them. Some are more known than others and fans will always have different opinions on who is the best player for their franchise.

Instagram page Hoop Colony recently shared the best players of all time on every NBA team, according to NBA 2K21. The video game has some interesting names on the list and although some fans would disagree with some of them, the listing is pretty spot-on.

Via 2K Ratings:

  • Atlanta Hawks – Bob Pettit (96)
  • Boston Celtics – Bill Russell (98)
  • Brooklyn Nets – Julius Erving (97)
  • Charlotte Hornets – Glen Rice (88)
  • Chicago Bulls – Michael Jordan (99)
  • Cleveland Cavaliers – LeBron James (99)
  • Dallas Mavericks – Dirk Nowitzki (98)
  • Denver Nuggets – Carmelo Anthony (95)
  • Detroit Pistons – Isiah Thomas (96)
  • Golden State Warriors – Wilt Chamberlain (98)
  • Houston Rockets – Hakeem Olajuwon (98)
  • Indiana Pacers – Paul George (94)
  • Los Angeles Clippers – Kawhi Leonard (97)
  • Los Angeles Lakers – Magic Johnson (99)
  • Memphis Grizzlies – Pau Gasol (93)
  • Miami Heat – LeBron James (99)
  • Milwaukee Bucks – Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (99)
  • Minnesota Timberwolves – Kevin Garnett (98)
  • New Orleans Pelicans – Chris Paul (97)
  • New York Knicks – Wilt Frazier (97)
  • Oklahoma City Thunder – Kevin Durant (97)
  • Orlando Magic – Penny Hardaway (95)
  • Philadelphia 76ers – Allen Iverson (97)
  • Portland Trail Blazers – Clyde Drexler (97)
  • Phoenix Suns – Steve Nash (97)
  • Sacramento Kings – Oscar Robertson (98)
  • San Antonio Spurs – Tim Duncan (98)
  • Toronto Raptors – Kawhi Leonard (97)
  • Utah Jazz – Karl Malone (97)
  • Washington Wizards – Elvin Hayes (96)

It’s mandatory to say that this list is based on the highest ratings that these players had in the video game. Of course, some could say Dwyane Wade is the most important player in the Miami Heat history but LeBron James’ overall rating is one of the best in the history of the game. Bron appears as the best player in another franchise, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Just like him, Kawhi Leonard appears with two franchises, the Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Clippers. Michael Jordan is the highest-rated player on the list with 99, while Glen Rice has the lowest one with 88.

There are plenty of big names on the list, players that left a huge mark on these franchises and the people behind the video game paid respect to them. Not everybody will agree with some of these players but you can’t deny they did big things on the court.
