The Minnesota Timberwolves have long been viewed as an unsuccessful franchise in terms of being able to be a competitive team. Their last playoff appearance was during the 2017-18 season, and they have often been criticized for disappointing even when having a lot of talent on the roster.

As of now though, it looks like the Minnesota Timberwolves have a decent chance of making it back to the playoffs. A Reddit Post pointed out that the Minnesota Timberwolves are finally a playoff-tier team, as they have become the 6th seed in the Western Conference.

With Denver’s loss to Boston, the Minnesota Timberwolves have moved into the 6th seed in the Western Conference. Something I’m sure nobody would have thought of at this juncture in the season.

The Wolves and Nuggets have the same record at 42-30 but Minnesota holds the tie breaker.

Timberwolves rising star Anthony Edwards has previously expressed belief in his team, claiming that they would be in the playoffs even prior to their run after the All-Star break. It is good to see Anthony Edwards’ words becoming a reality, and there’s no doubt that if they make the playoffs, a lot of fans in Minnesota will be ecstatic.

Things could change for the Minnesota Timberwolves before the end of the season, and the play-in tournament has definitely caused more excitement in this later stage of the regular season. However, it is clear that the team has a lot of young talent, alongside veterans like Patrick Beverley who provide the experience and leadership that such a roster needs.

Hopefully, we see the Minnesota Timberwolves keep their foot on the gas pedal and cross the finish line into the playoffs. It will be amazing to see them in the postseason, and perhaps a postseason appearance can signify a new era for the franchise.
