The Golden State Warriors originally started the 2020/21 season with more doubts than certainties after a complex offseason that saw them losing Klay Thompson due to a season-ending injury. The Dubs entered this campaign with a big question mark on their backs and they’ve shown that they’re ready to compete in the league, even beating two of the favorite teams to come out of the West this season.
Golden State have now beaten the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers, making a statement against both teams. It’s not only that they beat these teams but the way they did it. First, they took care of the Clippers that blow a 22-point lead over a week ago, beating them 115-105 at home behind Stephen Curry’s 38 points.

On Monday night, they repeated the dose for the Lakers, who couldn’t keep their 19-point lead and the Warriors ended up winning a very entertaining game. Curry scored a game-high 26 points to lead his team to the promised land, although LeBron James had some things to say about the game officials.
The Warriors showed character and earned a very valuable victory over the Lakers that couldn’t close the game, just like their crosstown rivals.
