  • NBA 2K24 finally released on 8th September
  • A list of the 30 highest-rated players in the game is doing the rounds on social media
  • There were some surprises on the list

After weeks of buildup, NBA 2K24 at last came out on the 8th of September. We now finally know the ratings for each and every player, and a list started doing the rounds on social media of the 30 highest-rated players in the game.

We already knew who the top 12 players with the highest NBA 2K24 rating were, and it had caused a bit of a stir when it came out. The extended list has some surprises and for me, the biggest one is Zion Williamson. Zion is obviously a great player, but he has played 29 games in the last two seasons, and a 90 rating seems a tad too high for that.

To have some very players below him who have actually played a lot in these last two seasons, doesn’t seem right to me. Some might apply the same logic to Kawhi Leonard, but he at least played over 50 games last season.

NBA Fans Reacted To These Ratings

While I don’t see any major issues with the list, the same cannot be said about NBA fans on X. A lot of them weren’t happy with these ratings as they reacted to it.

One believes Zion should only get an 86.

A fan was shocked that Pascal Siakam didn’t make the top 30.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is overrated one fan believes, after he got a 93.

One thinks De’Aaron Fox has been disrespected here.

One claimed that Stephen Curry and LeBron James don’t deserve to be rated so high.

You can never really make everyone happy with the ratings. It’s all subjective at the end of the day, and someone is always going to be unhappy about something. What is problematic, though, is that the game itself hasn’t been very well received so far. Maybe things get a bit better as time goes on, but gamers aren’t too happy with it right now.

NBA Players Have Tried To Bribe Ronnie 2K To Increase Their Ratings

When it comes to NBA 2K, there is one man always at the forefront of it, Ronnie 2K. Ronnie is the Digital Marketing Director for 2K games and is often the one who bears the brunt of criticism from players and fans on social media.

Last year, Kevin Durant called out Ronnie for his NBA 2K23 rating not being 99, and these kinds of incidents have become yearly occurrences at this point. The ratings clearly mean a lot to the players, even though it’s just a game, and they go to great lengths to bump it up a bit as well it appears.

Ronnie revealed that players have bribed him to increase their 2K ratings, and he had a simple message for them, play better. It turns out players had offered him shoes and some other accessories for it, and Ronnie wanted it to stop.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
