Tyler Herro is now the proud dad of a second child with his girlfriend Katya Elise Henry. The Miami Heat star named his son Harlem.
Herro and Katya have been dating since 2020 and have a daughter, Zya Elise Herro, who was born in September 2021. She is a renowned Instagram model, while her boyfriend has steadily risen in the ranks at Miami.
News of Herro becoming a father again broke when Katya took to Instagram to post a story of her cradling the newborn in her hands.
He was named the Sixth Man of the Year the previous season and has now established himself as one of the vital players in the Heat unit. An Achilles injury has sidelined the 22-year-old and has missed three games in a row. He has been in good form this season averaging 21.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.
Tyler Herro To The Los Angeles Lakers?
With the season reaching the midseason mark, the franchises will be planning with an eye on the future, and one of the reports doing the rounds was the possibility of the Heat trading Tyler Herro and picks to land superstar LeBron James.
Miami Heat insider Ira Winderman proposed the idea of trading for James in the offseason. Earlier this year, Herro signed a $130 million deal last October.
“But for all the machinations and permutations that Heat general manager Andy Elisburg fiddled with on his abacus when it came time to make a decision on a rookie-scale extension in October, Tyler Herro becomes trade eligible again in July (he’s actually trade eligible at the moment, but there are major salary-cap hurdles in place). And that makes it all the more curious, because the two-year, $97 million extension signed by LeBron also does not have him trade eligible until the offseason.
“Question: Since the end of the Big Three era has there been a Heat player who speaks more to the L.A. vibe than Tyler Herro? Follow-up: If passive-aggressive LeBron further amplifies Wednesday’s volume amid continues losing, might the Lakers have to consider their next evolution, just as they did in the post-Kobe Bryant era?
“Yes, it could take more, from salary and draft-capital standpoints.
“And, yes, there will be a full trading period ahead of the Feb. 9 NBA trading deadline for the Lakers to make things right in the moment.
Herro to the Lakers does sound like an interesting proposition, but for now, the Heat will need his services as they look to make the postseason.
