The San Antonio Spurs literally hit the jackpot by winning the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery and they are set to draft Victor Wembanyama with the first pick next week.

Spurs fans can’t wait to see him in action and one of them has gone as far as to get Wembanyama hair art on the back of their head.

With the story going viral, Wembanyama noticed it as well and reacted to it by calling the Spurs fanbase the best in the NBA.

“Spurs Deada** got the best fanbase in the league”

The individual is a long-time Spurs fan named Mark Burnett and he did explain his reasoning for getting the hair art.

“Victor – that’s a generational player right there,” Burnett said, via My San Antonio. “The last time we had this type of feeling was when Tim Duncan came to San Antonio.”

There have been plenty of comparisons between Wembanyama and Tim Duncan at this point. Duncan helped transform the Spurs into one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history on his arrival in 1997 and the hope is that Wembanyama can do something along those lines.

He is fully capable of transforming the Spurs franchise and returning them back to the top. Rapper Mike Dimes already purchased a billboard to welcome the Frenchman as well as Wembanyamma fever takes over San Antonio.

Victor Wembanyama Will Be Playing In The Summer League

Spurs fans might not have to wait for too long to see Wembanyama in action, as he revealed he will be playing in the Summer League. There were some doubts on whether he would participate as he doesn’t really have anything to prove as such but it was good to hear that he will take part.

His first game could potentially come against the Charlotte Hornets on the 3rd of July or against the Los Angeles Lakers on the 5th in the California Classic in Sacramento. Safe to say there will be many eyeballs on whichever game he chooses to play in and it is sure to be a spectacle.
