The Memphis Grizzlies have stormed off to their best win of the season, a brutally one-sided affair where they beat the Milwaukee Bucks 101-142

While leading by a whopping 46 points with 5 minutes left in the quarter, the Memphis crowd started to try and entertain themselves as the action on the court was so one-sided. They started doing a Mexican wave through the crowd. However, when the wave came toward the Grizzlies’ bench, players like Ja Morant joined in and completed the same.

Some people aren’t happy when the young Grizzlies do things like this, but given the circumstances, it should be considered harmless. The Grizzlies are developing a reputation as a new-age team that isn’t afraid to have fun or upset people on the way, which is a welcome energy.

Are The Memphis Grizzlies Contenders?

The Memphis Grizzlies can genuinely be considered among the top teams in the West this season. They go from strength to strength every season and are seeing tremendous contributions from the entire squad despite injury concerns over the course of the season.

Given how closely matched the top of the West is, the Grizzlies have a window to start contending. They have cap flexibility, assets, and arguably the best backcourt in the league. The potential is endless right now. It’ll be fun to see where this team ends up with all the recent success they have had.
